Financial Help
 Rex Turple

TBS Hockey School is proud to help young athletes enjoy the game of hockey through the Rex Turple Memorial Fund. Rex was a dear friend of both ours and the game of hockey.

Rex was born in Hanna, Alberta on April 17th, 1930. After moving to Olds, Alberta, Rex played with the Olds Minor Hockey Association. Eventually Rex proceeded to play with the Olds Elks Intermediate A team and played with them for nine years.

Later, Rex traveled to Europe to coach and play hockey for teams in Scotland, England, and Austria

During the 1955-1956 hockey season, Rex played with the Ponoka Stampeders and went on to won the Western Canadian Intermediate A Championship. In the 1958-1959 hockey season, Rex played with the Red Deer Rustlers and went on to win yet another Western Canadian Intermediate A Championship. Rex then moved on to play hockey in Kamloops, B.C.

At the ripe age of 59, Rex continued to play Oldtimers Hockey with the Capri Colts. At the age of 60 though, Rex became ill with cancer and passed away on October 15th, 1990.
